REPORT OF CGS REGISTRY ACTIVITY AT CLRC TO APRIL 30, 2022:
Registrations up 27.1% over 2021 year to date.
Transfers up 29.2% over 2021 YTD.
Memberships up 3.9% over 2021 YTD. 2021 was the best year since 2002 for memberships!
New memberships are down 12.2% from last year.
Herd prefix registrations are down 6.9%.
Tattoo letter registrations are down 12.2%.
Units of business processed in the first third of the year are up 18.5%
Over the last three years there has been a real uptick in new memberships and registration of herd prefixes and tattoo letters. In actual numbers the number of new herd prefixes is only down five, tattoo ĺetters are only down two and new members are down nine from the same period in 2021.
Otherwise a very robust start to the year!
Updated Registry Processing statistics for the first quarter of 2022
We have received the year to date (YTD) registry processing numbers from CLRC and we’re excited to share them with all of you!
Here we go!
Memberships are up 5.9% over the same period in 2021 at just under 470!
Registrations are up 17.6% over 2021 YTD!
Transfers are up 20.3% !!
New Herd prefix/name and Tattoo combination registrations are up 17% and 22% respectively over the same first quarter period in 2021!
New members are up 8%.
Overall units of work processed are up 21.9% !
This is a good start to the year!

2021 Year-End Stats
Year end stats!We are STOKED!
Today, January 4th CLRC forwarded tables of information on registry work they processed in 2021!We accessed 2020 stats and did some comparisons!Here is how CGS activity looked year over year!
Units of work processed: Virtually the same in both years, a tiny .25 of 1% increase in 2021.
Registrations down 6% There was quite a bit of catch up work on registrations, in particular, in early 2020, work submitted late in 2019. The 2021 total would therefore be more normal.Actual Difference was less than 225 registrations!
Transfers: UP 12.7% Almost 300 higher!
Memberships: Brilliant at 621, the highest in 19 years, since 2002! UP 64 or 11.5% from 2020!
New memberships:142, a 15.4% increase over 2020!
Registrations of herd names and tattoo combinations were up 9.4% over 2020!
In general terms this was a year of consolidating growth!Very exciting!

CGS Registry Activity to October 31, 2021
End of October numbers are in….and …
Memberships are up 11.4% over 2020 year to date at 616!!! Also up about 10% over all of 2020! Second highest total since 2002 so second high in two decades!
Units processed at CLRC are within .3 % of the 2020 YTD!
Registrations are down 8.2% year to date but we had a good October!
Transfers are up 8% over 2020 YTD!
New memberships are up 14% over 2020 YTD and are at 132!!
Herd prefix and tattoo combination registrations are both up 9% over 2020 YTD!

CGS Registry Work Year to Date (End of July 2021)
Breaking news that will have you breaking out in smiles!
Thanks to Jack, an IT whiz at CLRC we now have access to activity levels for CGS registry work to the end of July 2021.
Crunching data for comparison to 2020 year to date (YTD) stats has been a great joy!
Here’s the lowdown:
Registrations: Down 19.3% YTD!
Where, oh where is the good news in this?
Well a very few months ago registrations were down well over 30% compared to the same period last year. So, we’re gaining!
Our tabs on income on our bank account at Ottawa and comments from the CGS registry team at CLRC indicate that work is flowing in at a great rate and being processed at a good clip now too!
UNITS: Overall we are down 5% from the YTD stats in 2020 and no surprise given the drop in registration processing in early 2021. Thankfully it is less of a drop than it has been in recent months! Heading the right way, recently!
TRANSFERS: On the other hand this aspect of our business is up over 7% from 2020. Quite the feat given that 2020 was a year of strong growth in transfer numbers!
MEMBERSHIPS: Again, growth city! Up 11.7% over 2020 YTD. With only 7 months in we have exceeded the 2020 year end total by a few percent and 14 memberships!!! That’s right higher than all of last year, already!
Not surprisingly we have racked up the third best year in the last two decades and are within kissing distance of the second best year in the last two decades!! Whooweee!
NEW MEMBERSHIPS:
Up 26% , yes, over a quarter, well over 100!
Closing in on the total for all of 2020!
NEW HERD NAMES AND TATTOO COMBINATIONS:
Herd names up 15.7% and tattoo combo registrations up 14.4% YTD!
And both over 100!
