Please find the current version of The National Farm Animal Care Council Code of Practice for Goats.
This document was released over 15 years ago. The NFACC and the Canadian National Goat Federation have been doing an extensive amount of work on updating this document. It is projected that there will be a comment period for anyone in the goat industry in Canada on a new draft code of practice later in 2020. After addressing any comments on the draft, the NFACC projects release of a new version of the code in early 2021.
CGS receives requests from new goat owners on how they should be caring for their animals. We also believe that experienced owners of goats may find this goat-specific document helpful.
Proper care of livestock, and indeed any animals is highly important!
